Birthday Cupcakes!

Hello everyone! So it's my 17th birthday tomorrow (1st July) and since I didn't really want to have a party or anything big I decided to just make myself some cupcakes. I'm not the best cake decorator but I gave it a go and ended up eating half the icing and sprinkles in the process opps.

Tainted Pink

Of course we couldn't go to the beach without having a BBQ!

There's nothing I can write to describe the atmosphere here, I was going to add a little story about what we did but I think they are self explanatory and capture the hazy golden, pink and purple hues that flickered over the cool Scottish sea. I don't normally enjoy trips to the beach, there's something about sitting among masses of people while being burnt by the hot mid day sun that I don't enjoy, but we decided to go on a calm evening when this little beach was practically empty with only a few families which had  the same idea as us. It is probably one of my favorite places I've been. I wish I could come back here one day and just enjoy the sounds of the waves rolling up the beach as they meet the shore.

The Secret Garden

As the sun appears to have disappeared from England and the temperature is starting to get cooler, the week of sunshine and nice weather seems to have ended, so I decided to look back through some of my pictures from last year when the sun was out. During my visit to Scotland we visited a number of beautiful gardens, I have hundreds of pictures of flowers from these places so it was pretty tough narrowing it down to only a selection (i may have to make another post some time with more of the pictures!)
