Joules/Topshop/Primark haul ♥

The other day I ordered some items from Joules online and they arrived in the post today and I just had to share them on here because they're so cute! It rains a lot here in England so there's always an excuse to order a nice pair of wellies and Joules have some of the most beautiful i've seen. I think i'll be wearing them everyday! I also bought this umbrella in the same print. I've always loved the country/floral style of Joules and if I could I would buy their whole shop. All of their products are very high quality and are very hard wearing. I bought a coat from here around 2 years ago and it still looks as good as new. You can find the Wellies HERE and the umbrella HERE on the Joules website!

I also went to Primark and picked up a few items. I bought this lovely pink and grey knitted jumper, I normally I have a habit of buying blacks, reds and blues so I thought I'd be a bit adventurous and buy something pink for once. I also bought this little black leaf printed dress, I couldn't resist as it was only £5. I think it will look nice layered underneath a thick knitted jumper with woolly socks and boots. Oh and I can't forget about these Robin print socks I picked up as well, they're so cute!

Finally I went into Topshop in hope of finding a new coat. I'm guilty of having many coats but I wanted something a bit different this year and with a hood! After years of walking to school with a coat with no hood and forgetting my umbrella I thought it was time to invest in one. You can detach the fur hood as well which is a bonus. You can find this coat HERE on the Topshop website.

Belvoir Spiced Winter Berries Cordial | A perfect autumn/winter warmer

Now that autumn has finally arrived and winter is around the corner there's no better time to snuggle up on the sofa with a blanket and warm up with a hot drink. In fact, not just any drink but Belvoir's spiced winter berries cordial. I discovered this cordial around 2 years ago and have been a big fan ever since and it is one of my favourite drinks for autumn/winter time. This winter warmer is a intensely fruity cordial that gives off a spiced aroma filled with real elderberry juice, blackberry juice and orange juice which is blended together with real cinnamon, clove and nutmeg extracts.

There are many ways you can drink this cordial but I like to add a small amount of the cordial into a mug (around 15mm, it depends how strong you want it to be) and then add around 150mm of boiling water. This makes a lovely hot berry flavored drink which is a perfect non-alcoholic alternative to mulled wine. Alternately if you wanted to make mulled wine with it you could try this simple recipe:

Spiced Winter Berries Mulled Wine (serves 7)

You'll need:

1 bottle of dry white wine (try Sauvignon Blanc)
70ml Belvoir Spiced Berry Cordial
400ml Cloudy Apple Juice
1 Cinnamon stick
Peel of 1/2 an orange

Then gently simmer all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat and serve in seven short glasses or mugs and enjoy your winter warmer!

Beauty Favourites | Real Techniques Brushes

I wanted to share with you guys some of my recent beauty favourites. I'm pretty sure everyone with an interest in beauty and make up has these brushes in their collection and for a good reason. I've been eyeing up these brushes for a while now and I'm so glad I invested in them. It's only been in the last year or so since I started reading beauty blogs and watching youtube videos but it encouraged me to invest in good quality brushes and products. Although my collection is still growing, I hope to share more of my beauty favourite with you. I'm sure these will always be in my essentials collection. They're affordable and very high quality, I feel like they have given my foundation a better finish and they apply eye shadows and bronzer like a dream. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to start their make up collection or even if you already a large make up collection! The brushes photographed here are from the Real Techniques Core Collection but I also purchased the Buffing Brush separately.

Also I'm super excited to say I made a new twitter where I will share my adventures, recent blog posts and things I'm loving. I had my old twitter from when I was 15 and thought I needed a new start aha. You can follow and tweet me @charoliviap I'd love to follow you guys and see what you're up to!

Colours of Autumn

Hello lovely people, today I went on another autumn walk to one of my favourite places. I've posted many pictures of this beautiful place before so you're probably familiar with it. There's something so special about autumn which I find so magical, the way the trees turn from green to amber and gold and the smell of fresh rain as you walk through the woods. I could go on forever about how much I love autumn! It is also my favourite time of the year to explore and photograph nature, it's so vibrant. Although it rained the majority of the day it didn't bother me, I had a great day!
