Hi everyone, today I went to this little second hand book shop and I managed to pick up 4 books for only 80p, which is crazy! I picked up Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Pride and Prejudiced by Jane Austen and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I'm currently studying English Language and Literature at A Level and we have a list of authors who's books we should read for our coursework, and of course these writers were on the list. I've been wanting to read these classics for a while now, and my coursework in a way has forced me to! I also finished reading Ian McEwan's Atonement today. At first I found it a bit difficult to get into and in all honesty I found it a bit boring to start off with. But I tried to get into that style of writing, which i'm not really used to reading and I liked it in the end. If I hadn't of watched the film first, I think I would have found it even more confusing. I also bought The Picture of Dorian Grey purely because I watched the film version with Ben Barnes in it (I may have only watched it because he was in it...) and it was kinda scary but the plot and story was good. I might as well give it a go!
I know this isn't to do with books, but in the last picture i'm wearing my new ankle socks with frilly lace. I bought 3 pairs for £8 from Topshop the other day and I can't stop wearing them, they're so cute.

I had to read The Picture Of Dorian Grey for school and... It's amazing! I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't compare both to you, but the book is one of my favorites! It's quite dark but the writing is so light that you feel like you're part of the story. Plus: Dorian is an actual fetus when the book starts so it's hard not to fall in love with him!

This is such a good little haul, I LOVE old books and these are so cheap! I don't often go into little second hand book shops as we don't have many where I live. (Not that I know of anyway) I'm a new follower, I LOVE the design of your blog, its so perfect. I'm actually looking at redesigning my own and your blog is perfect inspiration!
