Saltburn Pier

Hello everyone! Yesterday I got back from visiting my family in the North East of England. My grandma doesn't live far from this lovely beach so I went down there in hope of getting a few sunset pictures but it turned cloudy so I ended up with some 'moody blue' landscape shots. The pier itself is quite famous for the knitting that runs along the railings. My grandma said that mystery knitters go down to the pier at night and tie their creations onto the railings and in the morning big crowds of people come to see. HERE is an article/video on it!

Swallowed By The Sea

Hello, last night we went down to the beach to use the ocean kayak and have a BBQ while watching the sunset. For some reason I love being by the sea, it's so calming and after a stressful few months of exams and looking at university it was just so...calming! It was also the only part of the day where it stopped raining, which made it so much better!

Tainted Pink

Of course we couldn't go to the beach without having a BBQ!

There's nothing I can write to describe the atmosphere here, I was going to add a little story about what we did but I think they are self explanatory and capture the hazy golden, pink and purple hues that flickered over the cool Scottish sea. I don't normally enjoy trips to the beach, there's something about sitting among masses of people while being burnt by the hot mid day sun that I don't enjoy, but we decided to go on a calm evening when this little beach was practically empty with only a few families which had  the same idea as us. It is probably one of my favorite places I've been. I wish I could come back here one day and just enjoy the sounds of the waves rolling up the beach as they meet the shore.
